Miss St Lawrence 2012 - Congratulations Stephanie Britton!

Our congratulations to our new Miss St Lawrence, Stephanie Britton. This year's event was organised by St Lawrence Ladies Action Group and co-ordinated by Mary Moody and supported by Caroline Evans, the Parish Secretary.The Connétable Mrs Deidre Mezbourian, welcomed our three independent judges, Connétable John Refault, Julia Williams of Jersey Goldsmiths and Jane Ronge representing Sandpiper CI who sponsor the event. It was not an easy decision for the judges, with three excellent candidates having entered, namely Sanna Warren, Meisha Micklewright and Stephanie. The compere for the event was Mr Stuart Lusby and Amie Judge, Miss St Lawrence 2011 was there to help and presented the satin sash, tiara and a prize of £200 to the winner Stephanie. Both Sanna & Meisha were awarded joint second prize of £150 each. All three were presented with bouquets kindly provided by SandpiperCI and arranged by Mary Moody. Miss St Lawrence is a traditional event and the winner has the opportunity to represent and help her Parish at several events throughout the year notably Battle of Flowers and Liberation Tea.
