St Lawrence Blooming Lovely

An eagerly anticipated awards evening for the Island's Parish in Bloom teams was held at St Lawrence Parish Hall on Thursday 14 July at which St Lawrence were delighted to win  a "Gold" award for the Parish Hall and a "Silver" for the Parish area.

The St Lawrence 'Bloomers' are an offshoot of the TEAM (Targeted Environment Action Management volunteers) and includes the Parish Constable, Mrs Deidre Mezbourian and her husband David. All had worked tirelessly every spare moment through Spring and Summer to keep the the Parish's pots and baskets heaving with healthy flowers in this year's colurs of lilac and pink. Although it was partially to impress the judges from the UK, more importantly the volunteers work to enhance the beauty of the Parish for its residents and tourists.
