Your Parish needs your help...

January 2009

Dear Parishioner

I believe that there is a great community spirit in the Parish of St Clement, and I am seeking your help to harness that spirit further for the benefit of all parishioners.

If you, or a member of your family, are between the ages of 18 and 69, male or female, and can spare even only a few hours a month, I feel sure that you would enjoy the camaraderie and satisfaction that comes from being a member of our Honorary Police.

The Honorary Police have a long and proud tradition of assisting the community, and I want to see that service thrive in St Clement, and hope that you will help me to achieve that.

It is recognised that these days not everyone has a significant time available for honorary service so that is why duty rotas are flexible and arranged to fit in with the availability of the officers even, as I said, if this is only for a few hours a month.

A full induction programme and training is provided to all new officers, and I assure you, that if you decide to “join-up”, you will be working with a great bunch of people.

To see if this might be for you, please call our Chef du Police, Centenier Peter Ward on 07797 718232, or myself on 855511 to arrange a chat without commitment.  It just might be for you!!

And I can assure you that you will be made very welcome.

Yours sincerely

Len Norman
